Playground re-launched

By Victoria Stone-Meadows

SATURDAY 15 October marked the re-launching of a playground and a 10-year anniversary of an educator at Rangebank Preschool in Cranbourne.
Barbara Ryan-Perkins has been an educator at Rangebank for 10 years and past and current students came along on Saturday to help her celebrate.
The pre-school also had an official opening of their updated play equipment with MPs Jude Perera and Jenny Mikakos in attendance.
The playground received a facelift recently due to a grant from the State Government worth $125,000.
The new play equipment includes new climbing structures, a wobble bridge, rock climbing, a stage for dramatic play, two undercover areas and a variety of trees to enhance the environment within the yard.
There was fun for all on the day with heaps of activities for everyone to enjoy such as dinosaur visit, face painting, jumping castle, sausage sizzle and balloons.
Ms Ryan-Perkins said she had enjoyed every minute of her time as an early learning educator and had to many people to thank for making her time so special.
“l would particularly like to thank Jude and Jenny along with Jill Zimmer the current president and the current 2016 committee,” she said.
“Also my co-educator Jenny who has worked with me for nine years – for all their ongoing support and encouragement.”
