MEMBERS of the Cranbourne U3A celebrated another successful year and welcomed their new committee at the club’s fourth annual general meeting last month.
Jim Hedrick was re-elected as president on 31 July and said the club had welcomed many new members and started up more classes in the past 12 months.
“I’d like to thank all the wonderful folk who have donated in the past year. Be it large or small, equipment or munchies, it’s all greatly appreciated,” Mr Hedrick said.
Member Bev Wood said the Cranbourne U3A was a wonderful group to be part of.
She said many people became great friends and there was a friendly atmosphere at the club.
“For those people who are now on their own this organisation is wonderful because they make a lot of friends and do activities together outside U3A,” Mrs Wood said.
There is a good range of classes available at the Cranbourne U3A, including computers, painting, card making, patchwork, beading, calligraphy and genealogy.
There are more than 100 members at the club and new members are always welcome.
Those interested in teaching any classes are also encouraged to contact the club on 5995 0311.
