A LYNBROOK man needed surgery after being stabbed several times in Dandenong on Friday night.
On a regular patrol of the Dandenong area, a Springvale divisional van came across a fight between men of African appearance in Mason Street.
Once police arrived the group of men fled, leaving a 20-year-old Sudanese man bleeding profusely under his jacket.
Police found that he’d been stabbed in his back and abdomen. He was taken to The Alfred hospital suffering multiple stab wounds and is in a stable condition after surgery.
