A PILE of cardboard boxes erupted in flames at the rear of the Bargain Depot in Cranbourne on Saturday 27 August .
The fire was reported to triple-zero about 10pm, and Cranbourne CFA attended and extinguished the blaze.
The blaze has been deemed suspicious because of its location in the rear access lane of the South Gippsland Highway centre.
Police are investigating.
