A 22-YEAR-OLD Cranbourne West woman has a big fine to pay after she was detected driving 50km/h above the speed limit in Officer.
The woman is expected to be charged on summons for exceeding the speed limit and dangerous speed.
She and a 38-year-old Hampton Park man were detected travelling at 150km/h as they drove west in the 100km/h zone along the Princes Freeway, Officer, about 11.40pm on Wednesday 3 August.
Pakenham police impounded three vehicles that night.
Police intercepted the man driving a Holden Commodore and the woman in a Toyota Corolla on the Monash Freeway at Hallam.
Both cars were impounded for 30 days – the owners will have to pay $1032 towing and storage costs for the Toyota and $1038 for the Holden.
Police later saw a Subaru station wagon driving erratically as it travelled west along the Princes Highway, Pakenham, about 1.45am.
The driver, a 39-year-old Hallam man, had a suspended licence and returned an evidentiary breath test result of 0.092 per cent
His car was impounded for a period of 30 days and he will have to pay $972 towing and storage costs to get it back.
The man is expected to be charged on summons with driving while suspended and drink driving.
