Axe, machete used in servo robbery

THREE crooks armed with an axe, machete and knife stole cash from a Lynbrook service station, about 1.50am on Sunday 17 July.
The armed trio were still on the run, last tracked by the dog squad travelling on foot towards the Lynbrook train station.
The aggravated burglary was at the Dandenong-Hastings Road 24-hour petrol station.
One of the dark skinned offenders, who was wearing all black and a balaclava and armed with an axe, waited in the store as his accomplice jumped the counter and stole a drawer out of the cash register.
The crooks threw a brick at the glass door before kicking the door and squeezing through a gap to gain entry.
The first offender to enter the store was armed with a knife and was described as wearing grey pants, white runners and a black hooded jumper, balaclava and gloves.
The trio escaped with the drawer of cash.
