POLICE will continue assessing the site where possible human remains were spotted at the Hampton Park tip.
Police excavated the site, where the alleged human remains were spotted by a worker on Monday 20 June, but found nothing.
A spokeswoman from Victoria Police confirmed that police would continue to assess the site today (Tuesday June 21), and will make a determination about how to proceed.
Yesterday a worker reported seeing what was alleged to be a hand at the Sita Environmental Solutions tip on Hallam Road, but was unable to retrieve the remains before incoming rubbish was dumped.
