LEARNING at St. Agatha’s Primary School in Cranbourne will be more exciting thanks to new interactive whiteboards being installed in classrooms.
As part of the second round of the Federal Government’s National School Pride Program the new SMART boards will have touch screen applications and be connected to classroom computers.
Students will start using them next term.
“The interactive whiteboards help ensure our kids get the benefit of this learning technology,” Federal Holt MP Anthony Byrne said.
Principal Noela Hyams said staff and students were excited to receive the funding.
“It will help us to achieve our current school improvement goals,” Ms Hyams said.
St. Agatha’s Primary School will receive $150,000 for projects including interactive whiteboards, replacing concrete areas with garden beds, installing a water harvesting system and water tanks.
