MOTORISTS in Clyde North can look forward to safer travel with improvements being made at the intersection of the Berwick-Cranbourne Road and Hardys Lande.
The $265,000 works include the widening of Berwick-Cranbourne Road to provide a passing lane to enable northbound through traffic to bypass vehicles turning into Hardys Lane, a spokesperson for Cranbourne MP Jude Perera said.
“The proposed improvement works will improve safety for the many motorists who use Berwick-Cranbourne Road regularly, and those accessing the nearby market gardens,” the spokesperson said.
The project was the result of the support of the local council and community, who had campaigned for it, the spokesperson said.
This project was funded under the Safer Road Infrastructure Program for which the Brumby Government has committed $650 million over the next 10 years.
