THREE schools were put into lockdown over a police investigation in Hampton Park.
Students and teachers at River Gum Primary School, Hampton Park Primary School and Hampton Park Secondary College were kept from exiting the school grounds for about half an hour on Tuesday 31 May.
Lockdown at all three schools has been lifted and normal school procedures are now in action.
Text messages were sent out to alert the wider school communities.
A spokesperson from one of the schools said the precautionary lockdown was due to a stolen car in the area.
“Police were chasing him, he was on foot,” they said.
