EXPECTANT mums can get some friendly advice about pregnancy and caring for a new baby during a series of five free sessions in Cranbourne.
The City of Casey is offering the program for parents to get advice topics including pregnancy, childbirth, labour, bathing, nappies, crying and natural pain relief options.
The sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings at the Cranbourne Library, with the next five sessions starting on 21 July.
Casey’s youth and family services manager, Lee McIntosh, said mothers could attend by themselves, or with a partner or friend.
“You can’t be an expert in something you’ve never done before, or even two or three times, but you can ask experts who have ‘been there done that’ hundreds of times with women like yourself,” Ms McIntosh said.
The series sessions will be held at the library throughout the year.
The next five sessions will start in July. The dates are 21 and 28 July and 4, 11 and 18 August from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Dinner is provided. The Cranbourne Library is located on Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East.
