STUDENTS pounded the pavement in a healthy fund-raising effort for their very own school.
Cranbourne South Primary School held an ‘adidas School Fun-Run’ on Friday 15 April, in a bid to raise as much money as possible to go toward renovations.
Fun Run organiser Megan Shaw said the school community was excited to get behind a fund-raising activity with a difference.
“Parents enthusiastically supported the initiative as it steered students away from traditional fund-raising events that centred on junk food,” Megan said.
And the health push extended past the school gates with fun run health partner Bupa dishing out free advice.
Each student household was invited to participate in the ‘Bupa Family Challenge’ which aimed to help teach families to adopt life-long healthy habits.
