THE CITY of Casey ranks in as Victoria’s third most active, in the Premier’s challenge for a fitter and firmer state.
About 40,000 Victorians have signed up to be a part of the Premier’s Active April which encourages participants to do 30 minutes of activity every day throughout April.
The suggested half hour comes after statistics revealed more than 60 per cent of Australian adults fail to meet the recommended daily levels of physical activity.
More alarmingly 80 per cent of children are not exercising enough.
The City of Casey ranks below Ballarat and Boroondara City councils.
