POLICE are appealing for witnesses after vandals set three wheelie bins on fire in Hampton Park earlier this month.
The garden waste bins were set on fire in General Joshua Drive, King David Court and Ivan Crescent in Hampton Park between 1am and 2pm on 8 April.
Hampton Park resident Tony O’Hara said he did not realise his bin had been set alight until he noticed it was missing. “It turned out someone had put the fire out and put the bin on the footpath over the road for us,” he said. “Half of it was melted away.”
If anyone has information call Detective Acting Sergeant Mark Simms at Cranbourne Police Station on 5991 06060.
