Lake seat to destress

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

SHE may not call Lynbrook home, but she’s donated $500 to make the park she loves even better.
Lynh Lam lives in Beaconsfield but uses Lynbrook’s Banjo Paterson Park weekly as a place to destress after work.
It wasn’t until she realised there was no place to sit that Ms Lam made the generous donation for a bench seat, which was matched by the Lynbrook Residents Association.
The City of Casey paid the difference and organised and installed the park bench.
“I thought I’d go and relax by the lake, I wanted to look at the view but there was no place to sit,” Ms Lam said.
““There were two seats nearby but which faced the oval, not the lake, I think it’s a lovely area and will now use the seat at least once a month.”
Ms Lam said the area was so lucky to have so much “free open space” and wanted to make sure everyone could utilise it.
