CRANBOURNE West Primary School is actively helping their local community become healthy.
In partnership with the City of Casey and other local organisations, it has developed a project to improve the health and well-being of the community.
Healthy4Life project officer Kara Bell said the aim was to educate the community on the benefits of healthy living.
“Healthy4Life will provide opportunities for people of all ages to come together, share knowledge, build friendships and support each other while engaging in activities that promote healthy eating and increased physical activity,” Ms Bell said.
A number of free workshops and activities will be held by the school including a parent and community walking club, adult fitness classes, family fun sessions, nutrition and budgeting workshops, children’s fitness fun and a community garden.
On 4 May from 1.30pm to 4pm Healthy4Life will host an expo at Cranbourne West Primary School in the gymnasium.
The expo will be open to the community and provide an opportunity for people to find out what Healthy4Life will be offering in 2009 and 2010.
Afternoon tea provided. For details contact Kara Bell on 5996 2878.
