THE fairways at Settlers Run Golf and Country Club were glowing last week during the Cranbourne club’s first night golf event.
More than 30 members attended the event. They used luminous golf balls and were guided by tiki torches and glow sticks as they played their way around holes 10, 11 and 18.
Settlers Run general manager Jane Bell said night golf was a popular novelty event for members.
“Playing golf in the dark adds a whole new element to the game, even for members who know the course so well already,” she said.
“We also restricted golfers to the use of three clubs and one putter which added to the challenge of playing golf under the moonlight.”
