CASEY Council has vowed to become more aggressive in its push for action on the Cranbourne Bypass.
Councillors at Tuesday night’s meeting declared war on VicRoads and the State Government, claiming an “aggressive and visual” campaign was needed to prove that it was serious about the urgent need for the bypass.
Mayfield Ward councillor Kevin Bradford said the council needed to strike during election year while the “iron was hot”.
“We need a longrunning campaign to make VicRoads and the State Government wake up to the fact that the bypass is a required part of the road network,” he said.
