A MAN has been charged after a teenage girl was allegedly assaulted on a Cranbourne-bound bus earlier this week.
It’s alleged the 17-year-old victim was assaulted on the number 36 bus which was travelling on Beach Street, Frankston, about 3.40pm on Monday 16 November.
Transit Robbery Taskforce members have charged a 32-year-old man with attempted armed robbery, recklessly causing serious injury, intentionally causing serious injury and threats to inflict serious injury later that day.
The Frankston man was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 7 December.
Police are hoping to speak with passengers who were on the bus at the time and may have witnessed the incident.
