Intruders leave empty handed

INTRUDERS tried to break into two Tooradin shops over the weekend, but were forced to flee without stealing anything.
The Pelican Cafe and Wholesome Wholefood stores, both on the South Gippsland Highway, were broken into sometime overnight between Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October.
In the first incident, the intruders forced their way into the rear storeroom but were unable to get inside the main part of the cafe.
In the second incident, the intruders also forced their way in through a rear door but fled when the alarm went off about 5.30am on Sunday.
It’s believed both incidents are linked.
