Woman arrested weeks after handbag grab

MAKING headlines for all the wrong reasons, the woman who accompanied the two young boys caught on camera stealing a handbag from a high end Southbank restaurant is from Cranbourne.
Splashed throughout the media since the alleged incident on Saturday 12 September the Cranbourne woman who was with two young boys at the time of the incident was arrested in Dandenong on Monday 5 October.
Police charged the 35-year-old following the theft which took place around 8pm.
It’s believed the woman told restaurant staff she was meeting friends who had already arrived.
The woman has been charged with a number of theft and deception offences and will face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
