Footage released of blast

POLICE have released CCTV footage of an explosion in Skye last month believed to be a homemade bomb.
It is understood anyone near to the explosion may have suffered from injuries similar to being peppered with PVC fragments, flash burns or hearing damage.
Emergency services were called to a reserve bordered by Sanoma Drive, Danube Close and Santa Clara Mews, just before 6am on Saturday 29 August, after witnesses heard a large bang believed to be the detonation of an explosive.
An arson chemist also attended the scene to investigate the incident.
The footage shows a car in the area at the time, believed to be a small 4WD similar to a Jeep Cherokee, Toyota RAV4 or Ford Escape and is likely to have received damage to panelling and/or windows on the driver’s side.
Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for anyone with information about the explosion to come forward.
