Day goes old school

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

STORIES about school days ’way back when’ filled classrooms with chatter at Tooradin Primary School earlier this month.
A part of the school’s literacy and numeracy week, grandparents day was celebrated on Thursday 20 August.
Grandparents were invited to discuss how things were done when they attended school and compare what had stayed the same.
The school’s Sue Tobin said the students were eager to spend time with their proud grandparents.
“It was wonderful to have all the grandparents join in activities across the school.
“We were lucky to have the book fair and our Stephanie Alexander kitchen jam stall to share with the families,” she said.
