KEEP your eyes peeled when driving on Camms Road – the speed limit has changed and one resident says the signs are tricky to see.
Cranbourne West resident Irene Zemtay said the speed limit on Camms Road, which turns into Central Parkway in Cranbourne, changed from 60km/h to 50km/h last week, and the new “small, orange signs are hard to see”.
Ms Zemtay also said there were not many of the new speed limit signs placed on the three-kilometre-long road, which meant people who entered Camms Road from some streets might not drive past one.
“It doesn’t worry me that it has changed to 50km/h. But some people don’t know.
“The signs are very unnoticeable and there are not enough of them.”
The speed limit also recently changed in Duff Street, Cranbourne, she said.
Ms Zemtay said residents should have been notified about the speed limit change somehow.
“The signage is not enough. Immediate residents should have got a letter, or maybe they should paint 50 on the road.
“Only four signs for a three kilometre road are not enough. You don’t think to look at the orange signs. I can guarantee 90 per cent of people would not have noticed.”
