THE Paint Place is the place to see for all your painting needs but they are about more than pots of paint.
“We offer a complete paint shop experience,” manager Scott Glencross said.
“From colour consultations to paint quantity estimations, to expert colour matching and product advice, we strive to make our customers projects as easy and as beautiful as they can be.”
And it’s not just paint that you’ll find at the Paint Place.
“We sell some of the most beautiful and glamorous European wallpapers,” Scott said.
“Wallpaper is having a mini renaissance at the moment and the drama it can add to a room is unsurpassed.
”We stock an extensive range of Haymes Paint, the largest Australian owned paint manufacturer. Like us they are a family owned company and we really appreciative of their support in our formative years. We also stock Wattyl, Solver and Nutech products.”
And of course if you can’t work out what colour you need and maybe how to get those edges straight then Scott and his team are the people to see.
“Problem solving is the little niche in the market that we own right now,” he said.
“All of our staff have real life painting experience so they are familiar with the common issues had by weekend warriors. From painting space observatories to 100-year-old tractors we have a wide range of coating knowledge.”
The shop is owned and run by Iain and Sharon Glencross who have lived in the area for almost 30 years.
For a majority of that time Iain has worked as a painter and decorator while Sharon worked in various managerial roles. Scott has been at the business for the past two years while they have two bubbly casuals Sherree and Aroha who are there to help out and together the staff have a combined 50 years of painting experience.
And watch out for their first ‘ladies night’ to be held later in the year. This will be a fun-filled evening with designer, wallpaper and painting professionals giving hands-on advice all mixed with good food and champagne.
