Cranny award up for grabs

THERE are only two weeks left to nominate a key Cranbourne contributor for a $1000 cash prize.
Nominations for the inaugural Cranbourne Chamber of Commerce (CCC) Community Award close on 15 July.
The winner will receive $1000 at the chamber AGM on 13 August to recognise their significant contribution to Cranbourne.
CCC vice-president Kate Parkinson said award nominees must work or live in Cranbourne.
“We’re specifically targeting individuals rather than organisations – people who’ve donated time and effort to benefit groups or the community,” she said.
“It’s an opportunity for them to see that they’re valued by the community.”
Ms Parkinson hoped the award would encourage others to work hard for the community for a chance to win next year.
“We hope it’s something that continues and grows,” she said.
Award nominees can be of any age. A nominator and an independent referee must support each application.
