SENIORS Computer and Training Services (SCATS) offer individual training for the over-55s on computers, phones, iPads and tablets at a leisurely pace with no pressure from children or grandchildren.
According to manager Errol Hatch SCATS train the seniors on what they currently own.
“SCATS train seniors with what they currently own or provide recommendations based on their needs,” he said.
“All major brands are reviewed when recommending to a customer.”
He said the best feature is that this is seniors teaching seniors with no pressure on the time it takes to understand today’s technology.
“With one-on-one training the customer gets the benefits,” Mr Hatch said.
“What makes us different is that we have an understanding that our customers want to use the latest technology but not be pressured by relatives and to learn out their own pace in their own home.”
SCATS provide an hourly rate for over-55s.
“If you are a pensioner we have a discount rate plus you get a discount voucher for any future visits,” he said.
“The focus of the business is introducing the over-55s to the not so complicated world of computers, phones, iPads and tablets, plus detailed training of internet programs.
“We cover all aspects of today’s technology including internet access and emailing.”
Mr Hatch said computer training had been a part of his business for 20 years.
“With 20 years in training business and individuals, the over-55s have been the most pleasurable and appreciate the one-on-one involvement,” he said.
Mr Hatch said he started operations in the ’80s with the Brash’s/Allans Group and went on to have his own Database/Training Company.
