Legal undertones to fun day

By DAVID NAGEL

FAMILIES in and around Cranbourne looking for a great day out should lock in this Saturday 13 June and a trip to the Cranbourne Football Club at Casey Fields.
The Eagles are joining forces with a local law firm, Zaparas Lawyers, to offer free entry and a free day of entertainment for the whole family.
Cranbourne Football Club president Shane Baker said it was a focus of the club to play a stronger role in the local community.
“This is all about bringing families back to local sport, and with the generous support of Zaparas Lawyers we’re able to offer a free day out to families,” he said.
“And this is not just for the people of Cranbourne, anyone and everyone can get involved.”
Yianni Zaparas, a partner in the personal injury law firm that will soon set up its fourth office in Cranbourne, said the company was keen to establish a connection with the local community.
“We’re really pleased to be sponsoring the Cranbourne Football Club this year, and to sponsor the Community Day is an absolute honour,” he said.
“We’re not big on advertising; we’re more concerned with engaging the local community, sponsoring these community events and getting to know the people of Cranbourne. Long term, we’re looking to get involved with the club in a bigger way and take our partnership in the best direction possible.”
For the children, there will be a jumping castle, face painting and an Auskick display. For the dads who love their footy, there will four games, including the senior clash between Cranbourne and ROC at 2.15pm, and there will be a netball extravaganza, with the under 13s kicking things off at 8.45am, all the way through to the senior game at 2.15pm.
