A FLARE deliberately thrown underneath a car parked outside a Cranbourne North property is being treated by police as a family violence matter.
A female occupant of the Woodstock Boulevard home managed to put out the fire before it spread to the car, parked in the driveway, with police arriving on the scene just after midnight on Tuesday 2 June.
The male offender, from Cranbourne North, was soon found by officers and remanded in custody.
A Narre Warren police spokesman alleged the attempted arson was a family violence related incident.
