Workshop to ‘Cre8’ dreams

CASEY City Church is daring locals to dream.
This Saturday it will hold its ‘CRE8’ performing arts workshop from 10am to 3.30pm in Berwick.
The church will also hold market stalls from 12 noon and an ‘Infusion Nites’ concert from 5.30pm.
Senior minister Larry Sebastian said the theme behind the workshop was how little dreams could create huge destinies.
“This is what Casey City Church and Chips (Christians Helping in Primary Schools) would like to instil in the hearts of our young people,” he said.
The workshop will cater for up to 100 primary and middle school aged children who mainly come from traumatic backgrounds due to abuse.
The various Cre8 workshops are designed to inspire young children to pursue their dreams and not be restricted by their past or present situation.
Mr Sebastian said the workshops would be conducted in a safe and wholesome environment.
“The workshops will facilitate different expressions of the arts, which will encourage individuals to discover their talents and live their passions,” he said.
The workshops offered include vocals, drama, and hiphop dance.
There will also be a range of market stalls and a sausage sizzle at the venue.
The workshop will be followed by live entertainment in the main auditorium showcasing local performers, hip hop dancers and internationally renowned Christian artists such as Gary Pinto and Vince Harder.
The Casey City Church is at 446 Centre Road, Berwick. For more information phone the church office on 9705 9765.
