A CRANBOURNE petrol station had to be closed down for an hour while police and the CFA investigated a gas leak.
It understood the gas leak was detected in a valve by a customer who was filling up his car at the Caltex Service Station on Thompson’s Road, near Evans Road, around 5.30pm on Thursday 12 March.
The customer quickly moved his car and reported the leak to the attendant, after which police and a CFA burn-off unit were called in to secure the area.
The station was closed for an hour while the site was secured.
