Grant for major revamp

CLYDE Primary School will undergo major renovations thanks to a $250,000 State Government grant.
The funds, part of the Excellence for All School Improvement Program, will be used to redevelop classrooms and the library.
“The funds will also be used to improve facilities for the staff,” Minister for Education Lynne Kosky said.
“The extra investment will greatly improve classrooms and facilities at the school and ensure that students and staff have access to a modern learning environment.”
Principal Peter Quigley said the school community was thrilled to receive the funding through the program, which was a great help for smaller schools to improve infrastructure.
“At Clyde we are focusing all of our efforts on turning a good school into a great school and this funding will be another step along the way to achieving our goals.
“The main focus of the works will be the modernisation of three of our classrooms and the library area in order to support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning at Clyde Primary School,” he said.
Clyde Primary School is one of 21 schools across Victoria to receive a grant in the first round of School Improvement Program funding.
