RELAY for Life is a fun and moving overnight experience that raises vital funds for the Cancer Council’s research, prevention, information and support services.

Berwick Show
EVERYONE’S favourite event is back for 2015 with the Berwick Show to take place later this month.
– Akoonah Park, Princes Highway, Berwick, Saturday 21 February, from 9am to 9pm, and Sunday 22 February, from 9am to 5pm. Adults $20, concessions $15 and children (10-15) $10, Children (under 10) free and Family (two adults, two children) $40.
Fun for Casey kids
THE free Casey Kids Carnival is a free day of activities for children of all ages. The event will include live performers, rides, interactive games, roving entertainers, face painters, art and crafts and live animals. Aimed at children aged up to 12 years old and their families, the Casey Kids Carnival will promote accessibility, showcase arts and craft activities, encourage physical activity, open-ended learning and safety and create active community ties.
Expressions of interest for volunteers at the carnival are currently being sought. Volunteers would be required for a variety of roles from 11.30am to 2.30pm or 2.30pm to 5.30pm.

Art Space is open
ONE of Casey’s new art spaces is getting set to host two exhibitions in one space as part of a new and exciting council venture. The Civic Centre Art Space will host the artworks and Mayor Mick Morland encourages the community to come along and experience some local talents.

Rock in the Park
The bucolic country setting of Lardner Park, just out of Warragul in Gippsland, about an hour and a half’s drive from Melbourne, will rock to the sounds of some of Australia’s best known musicians. Lardner Park, best known as the venue for one of Victoria’s biggest agricultural field days, is rapidly becoming the site for many interesting events and this time will present Rock in the Park amid its usually peaceful undulating paddocks.

Cranbourne Senior Citizens
THE Cranbourne Senior Citizens Club will host its half yearly meeting this month.
– All members are invited to the event which will be held on Thursday 19 February at 10.30am at the club on Codrington Drive.
Members are asked to make every effort to come along.
Business breakfast
THE Casey-Cardinia Business group will host its first breakfast for the year next month. Former chef and food critic Matthew Evans will share his knowledge and experience with guests.
– Wednesday 11 March at the Cranbourne Racing Club, Grant Street, Cranbourne. The breakfast will kick off at 7am until 9am and tickets are $55 per person, or $700 for a table sponsorship. Registrations close Friday 6 March 2015.
The secret of success
THE secrets of business success will be revealed by local leaders at an intimate forum at the Cardinia Cultural Centre. This is a not for profit event, with all surplus funds going to the 4Cs Crisis Relief Centres.
