STUDENTS at a Cranbourne school have made a pledge to stay off the dole.
The annual pledge ceremony at Lyndhurst Secondary College is part of the Beacon Foundation’s no dole program, where students make a pledge to remain in further education or training.
More than 200 year 10 students made the commitment during the school’s ceremony last Wednesday. This year’s ceremony was the fourth the school had conducted and featured several guest speakers.
Every student in the school is invited to sign the banner and receives a certificate to mark the occasion. Parents and local business owners were also invited to the ceremony.
