A MAN was inside a house which was completely destroyed in a fire in Cranbourne East yesterday.
About 12pm fire crews were called to a home along Cromwell Lane and found a single-storey brick house totally engulfed.
Luckily, the man inside at the time managed to escape.
CFA District Operations Officer Paul Carrigg said six CFA cars from Cranbourne, Narre Warren, Frankston and Dandenong attended the scene.
“Our firefighters worked hard to control the fire in just over 30 minutes but unfortunately the house was completely destroyed,” he said.
Fire crews believe the cause of the fire was accidental, and crews remained on scene for hours after blacking out and mopping up the scene.
