Drink driver pays heavy price

POLICE have busted a 59-year-old man from Blind Bight for drink driving after he appeared to be unconscious at the wheel.
Police were called around 8.30pm to a foreshore car park on South Gippsland Road in Tooradin where they found the man slumped over the steering wheel.
Senior Constable Hahir said the engine was running and the man was unresponsive at first.
He was later taken to the Cranbourne police station where he returned a reading of 0.225 per cent.
Sen Const Hahir said he later admitted to driving his car from his home to the car park.
Police immediately suspended the man’s license and impounded his vehicle and said he would be charged at a later date.
He is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving.
