BUDDING writers can put their pens to paper and enter a free competition for Casey’s young writers.
Fresh Words competition is for up-and-coming writers who live, work, or study in the City of Casey.
The three categories in the Fresh Words competition include creative writing, poetry and lyrics, and English as a second language, for students who are enrolled in an ESL course.
Entries will be judged by age group, 12 to 14 years, 15 to 16 years and 17 to 18 years, and the winners will be announced during National Literacy and Numeracy Week in September.
The closing date for submissions is 5pm on Friday 26 July.
