CRANBOURNE batsman Ben Maroney looked like a cat on a hot tin roof on Saturday as the top-of-the-table Eagles headed for their first loss of the season against Hallam Kalora Park. The Turf-1 Division of the Dandenong District Cricket Association was thrown wide open on the weekend, with third-placed Berwick also going down to Parkfield to leave its finals hopes in jeopardy. Berwick and Cranbourne now face tough runs home before squaring off in what’s sure to be a season-defining last-round encounter.
