TWO young and promising Casey cricketers were given the chance of a lifetime when they had a chance to meet former Australian champion Matthew Hayden last month.
The opportunity was provided by McDonalds which, in December, held its Mac Pack Cricket Super Clinic in Melbourne, a junior sporting initiative that aims to encourage children to lead a healthy lifestyle through sport.
Promising junior cricketers Lachlan Rechsteiner and Aaaryamann Sikri from Cranbourne and Rohan Menon from Lynbrook had the chance to meet Australian cricketing great Matthew Hayden at the clinic.
McDonald’s Cranbourne North licensee Ian Seal said the clinic was a great opportunity for the kids.
“The Mac Pack Cricket Super clinic is a great way to engage kids with cricket and encourage them to lead an active and healthy lifestyle through sport,” he said.
Children between six and 12 were able to win a place at the competition.
