All good things must come to an end and after nine in row, the RSL finally lost one, going down to Pakenham on their slick carpet bowling rinks. The team has been bowling very well for a long time, and sometimes you need to be reminded that winning does not happen every week. Ray Chapman’s team scoring the only two points winning by three shots, the other two rinks probably wished they were elsewhere.
Results: Pakenham 72 d Cranbourne RSL 51 (D. Meulman/M. Hodges/H. Rogers/R. Chapman won 19-16. R. Bligh/C. Butler/T. Bonney/J. Spencer lost 17-28. A. Pichard/M. McIntyre/G. Dore/Y. Van der Wees lost 15-28).
SATURDAY – Division 2
After a promising first half where the scores were pretty close, the RSL fell away over the concluding ends to go down to Berwick. Walter Brannan’s team hanging on to score a valuable two points. The team seemed to struggle in the windy conditions, and looked a bit flat after two great wins in the previous two weeks. Three out of the four teams winning was a good result for the club.
Results: Berwick 91 d Cranbourne RSL 71 (M. Cassano/B. Graham/K. Walker/W. Brannan won 25-23. F. Scicluna/J. Carretero/W. Ballard/K. Hocking lost 17-20. P. Males/J. Black/Y. Van der Wees/R. Chapman lost 15-23. R. Bligh/R. Crawford/J. Spencer/M. Watkinson lost 14-25).
Division 5
The team returned to the winners circle with a comfortable 16-shot win over Waverley Golf. John Vowles team again doing the damage winning by a huge 21 shots, with Steve Hickson and Michael Ryan’s team also scoring good wins. There should be a few more wins coming up in the second half of the season.

Division 8 (3)
After a couple of lean weeks, team three finally put it all together and scored a good 11-shot win over Narren Warren. Percy Leake’s side were pretty happy after finally getting a win, its been a long time since Round 1. Dependable Doug Ambrose won again well done.

Division 8 (4)
Team four on the back of Arthur Underwood’s side five shot win stormed into the top four with a close win over Noble Park. Bryan Eagle’s side again winning making it four wins in past five games.
