Booked in for bingo

FOUNTAIN Gate Bingo is celebrating its 24th birthday from 15 to 21 December.
Yes that’s right the bingo centre, which operates five days (Tuesday to Saturday) and seven nights per week is having a big birthday.
And according to venue manager James Rooney, it promises to be a big week.
“From 15-21 December we will be celebrating 24 years of business with exciting specials every day and night,” he said.
“There will be $111,000 to be won that week.”
He said the focus of Fountain Gate Bingo was to create a comfortable environment where bingo, the most social form of gambling, could be played.
“Some of our sessions offer four hours of entertainment for as little as $10,” Mr Rooney said.
“We have nearly 30 staff and our management team have all had 20 plus years’ experience in bingo centre management.
“I have worked at Fountain Gate Bingo for 19 years and worked in the industry for 10 years prior to that.”
Fountain Gate Bingo is conducted in comfortable air-conditioned premises with capable and experienced staff and Mr Rooney said more than $100,000 was paid out every week in prize money.
“We have competitive prize money – always paid and exceptional catering facilities,” he added when asked what made the business different.
Fountain Gate Bingo is at 5b Brechin Drive, Narre Warren, and is open from 10am to 3pm, Tuesday to Saturday, and 6pm to 11pm Monday to Sunday.
