Holiday fun was great

By BRIDGET SCOTT

SCHOOL holidays are an exciting time for many, and the City of Casey certainly didn’t lack any of that these past two weeks.
The Casey Leisure Centre was a ball of fun with plenty of active programs last week and plenty of kids took to the court.
Prior to the holiday program, City of Casey mayor Geoff Ablett urged youths to get involved.
“The Teenage School Holiday Program is a great way to keep your teens busy and entertained, at least for some of the days during the period,” he said.
“As well as being a lot of fun, the Teenage School Holiday Program (which runs during school holidays throughout the year) also helps young people develop some independence and establish friendships with people they might not otherwise meet.”
The Casey Leisure Centre hosted a range of activities to get kids on their feet this break while making some new friends and meeting other youths.
