CRANBOURNE’s broken heart has been partially mended after a thrilling five-point victory over its nemesis Narre Warren in the preliminary final at Holm Park Road on Saturday.
Almost 12 months to the day since the Magpies claimed the 2013 premiership with the last kick of the season, the Eagles fired back, with centre half forward Troy Tharle standing tall, kicking truly with the last scoring shot of the match to send the Eagles flying through to this Saturday’s title decider against Beaconsfield.
Tharle’s team mates Michael Theodoridis and Jarrod Murphy mobbed the last-gasp hero, as 2500 fans savoured a magnificent game of football.
