CASEY kids got up close and personal with Australian wildlife during an insect and mini beasts incursion at the Hampton Park Library as part of the school holiday program.
Wild Action’s Ben Coleman wooed about 30 children with creatures such as the spiny leaf stick insect. The incursion aimed to teach children about the diversity and importance of native Australian invertebrates during the one-hour interactive presentation.
“It was harder to get the parents to touch the animals than it was the kids,” Mr Coleman said.
