Two tribes go to war

RYAN Hendy doesn’t want to sound cocky – but he still reckons his Swans will win by 30 to 40 points.
The Cranbourne resident and Garfield captain-coach will be at the ’G on Saturday, showing the Bloods love that flows through his veins.
“I can’t wait, I’m jumping out of my skin,” he said.
Ryan said he had little choice but to follow the Swans, with his grandfather and father both “mad Swans supporters.”
With a cousin who played a few reserves games for South Melbourne and a family connection to Sydney’s legendary left-footer Mark Bayes, the die was cast at any early age.
Living in the heart of Hawthorn country, Ryan said Swans supporters could be hard to find, but would be easy to spot after the final siren on Saturday.
“It is pretty rare to find us compared to other clubs,” he said.
“But I’m pretty confident. Hawthorn died in the arse over the last quarter and we will be running on top of the ground.”
