ABOUT 300 residents packed the Hampton Park bowls club for their Australia Day celebrations.
The club’s presidents Grace Hogan and Rob Woff welcomed all visitors including local MP Judith Graley and Casey councillors Rob Wilson and Wayne Smith.
The day’s events included bowling, a barbecue and several market stalls.
A re-enactment of the history of bowls was presented by various members of the club and was applauded by all.
The day concluded with a line dance performance by a group of senior citizens.
The organisers Shirley Burnside and Bob Woodfield said the event would not have been possible without the help of all those involved.
“Everyone pitched in and ensured that the Australia Day event was a real winner,” Mr Woodfield said.
