A TREASURED pet dog has been returned to its owner after allegedly being taken from a Lyndhurst home over the weekend.
Five-year-old Bailey, a male brown Staffordshire bull terrier, was last seen at the Gregson Grove property around 10.15pm on Friday before a local ranger discovered the dog in Beaconsfield on Sunday morning.
Three women came forward to assist police with their inquiries after Bailey was reported missing.
It is alleged Bailey was taken to a Beaconsfield address by one of the woman, but escaped after 10am on Saturday.
Concerns were mounting for the missing Bailey, who suffers from diabetes and requires daily medication.
