Horror crash: teens face multiple charges

TWO teenagers have been charged following last month’s horror crash in Cranbourne that has left two young passengers in hospital.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives charged a Cranbourne and Lynbrook man last week, both 18 years old, in relation to the collision on the South Gippsland Highway on Thursday 5 June.
Police allege the two cars driven by the men ran off the road, mounted a centre median strip and collided with a concrete pole.
Two passengers, one from each car, remain in The Alfred hospital with serious injuries. Both drivers have been charged with two counts of negligently causing serious injury, two counts of dangerous driving causing serious injury, two counts of speed dangerous causing serious injury and one count of reckless conduct endangering life.The men both appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday where they were released on bail to return at a later date.
