HAMPTON Park was abuzz last week with the annual festival and the networking group’s awards night.
Locals had a ball at the Hampton Park Festival on Sunday 2 December, at which they were treated to a rock climbing wall and mini car show by Cranbourne Police.
There were also market stands for the early shoppers and Santa made a special appearance with the help of the Hampton Park Country Fire Authority (CFA), Scouts and Guides at the Hampton Park Shopping Centre.
Hampton Park Networking Group’s Awards Night was held on Wednesday 5 December at the Hampton Park Tavern.
Winners of the Sponsorship Awards and Community Volunteer Awards included Hampton Park First National Real Estate, Norwood Property Services, Star News Group, Hampton Park Progress Association, Hampton Park Community House, Centre One Pty Ltd and Hampton Park CFA.
Peter Tullis, who has long been involved in many facets of the community, received the coveted Volunteer Award.
Hampton Park Networking Group president Vanassa Gerdes thanked all the community members who had supported the networking group and events over the past two years.
“Collectively, as a community, we accomplished enormous milestones in redefining and breathing new excitement and life into Hampton Park,” she said.
“In 2007, due to your incredible support, our events embraced hundreds of people seeking more innovation, more culture, more refinement, and more cosmopolitan spirit out of Hampton Park.
“Together, we made great strides in continuing to build our community spirit. 2008 holds a lot of wonderful new plans and opportunities that I can’t wait to create with you.”
