Teenage girl stabbed in park attack

A TEENAGE girl was punched and stabbed during a dispute in Cranbourne on Sunday night.
The 17-year-old Keysborough girl was in a park off Clarendon Street about 11pm when two men and a woman confronted her.
During the altercation that followed the girl was punched to her right eye and received a stab to the lower abdomen.
She then sent a text message to her friends saying that she had been assaulted and stabbed. They arrived on the scene and rushed her to Dandenong Hospital.
Her friends then went back to the scene and found a knife, which they then handed in to police. Police have not yet determined whether it was the weapon that was used in the assault on the girl.
The teenager was operated on at Dandenong Hospital and is in a stable condition.
She also received bruising to her right eye and cheek.
